Hallucinating couple charged with aggravated child abuse

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Chattanooga police officer was called to a home in Brainerd Tuesday morning because people there complained that they were hallucinating.

The officer found that 25 year old Katie White and husband 32 year old Charles Hill were both irrational.

They told him they had been taking meth since the night before.

The couple were also the sole custodians of a four year old child.

The officer said the mother first claimed that her husband put a butcher knife to her throat, then took back the entire story.

She also confided to him that people had been walking in and out of her new TV, which explained why she seemed “a little off.”

The officer said he found a small bag of suspected meth in Charles Hill’s pocket.

He faces a possession charge, while both face an aggravated child abuse or neglect charge.
