Hamilton Co. EMS gives to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A celebration was held today at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center.

Hamilton County Emergency Services presented the center with a $75 hundred check in support of their programs.

The money was raised through their pink t shirt campaign, which ran through breast cancer awareness month.

Hospital representatives said the money raised will be used to help things like patient lodging and treatment travel expenses.

Liz Bagwell with the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center tells us “It is amazing.”

“It is great to know that so many people in this community are passionate about helping further our mission and being able to help them when they are in need. It is a great way to come together as a community.”

The large check was supported by a generous donation from Volunteer Tinting.
