Hamilton Co. Health Department to offer mobile WIC services

CHATTANOOGA,Tenn. (WDEF)- The Health Department is bringing WIC services to new moms and children in Chattanooga..

The WIC mobile service is coming to the East Lake Community Center on Tuesdays.

WIC is a program that provides education on nutrition and health for women and children.  

They are targeting a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood with a bilingual staff.

“It’s an important step, which is taken by the Health Department. I think it is a good thing we have this clinic because we have a lot of Hispanic background clients coming there in person,” said Ishaan Arora, Nutrition Educator at the Hamilton County Health Department, “That will be really helpful in order to manage the case load we have right now.”
