The board says this is the first of many discussions on the decision of going into a partnership with the state.
The education commissioner Candice McQueen the education commissioner made a trip to the scenic city recently, but at that time.. their next order of business was finalizing the new contract for Dr. Johnson. But some school board members are saying it’s time to move forward.
Hamilton County School Board member Tiffanie Robinson said, “We’ve chosen our superintendent. That was the one of the big hurdles that the board had to get through. Now we are… in my opinion.. moving on to a more important hurdle, figuring out what we are going to do with our iZone Schools””
“I get a lot of feedback from the community wanting to know where the board stands on this, because it’s kinda like the community is sharing how they feel in various aspects, but they are not hearing from the 9 member body,” explained Karitsa Jones with the Hamilton County School Board.
