Hamilton County Coalition offers free resource fair for Day of Hope

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Coalition gets ready to provide community support ahead of Day of Hope on March 10.

The Hamilton County Coalition is considered a “wrap around” organizations which focuses on helping the individual completely by having multiple programs. The coalition focuses on prevention in the community through visiting community centers and schools. They also do intervention programs which includes regional overdose prevention specialists that train people on prevention and educate to fight against the stigma of overdose.

March 10 is the Day of Hope which recognizes people who are struggling with their mental health and substance misuse. The Hamilton County Coalition will hold two events, one in Polk County and the other in their office parking lot located at 5721 Marlin Rd building 6100 suite 3200, Chattanooga, TN 37411.

The event will include 20 vendors that help provide support to people who are struggling with their mental health, recovery, or treatment. At the event, there will be a shower truck that offers free showers to the unhoused and lots of clothing for those in need.
