Hamilton County Fair draws a crowd

HAMILTON COUNTY (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Fair is underway.

Today a large crowd could be seen out at Dallas Island in Chester Frost Park where the weekend long event is taking place.

The fair has been going on annually for over thirty years.

This year there are several food and crafts vendors, activities for the kids, live music and a whole lot of things to watch, including a pig race on Saturday.

The fair is geared toward family fun and that’s what it’s all about.

“We’ve tried very hard to make sure that people come here and have a great time. We think it’s multi-generational. You can be 85 or you can be five it doesn’t matter. You come here and you find something you’ll find entertaining,” said Mike Dunne, Communications Manager for Hamilton County.

The fair continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance to the fair is free.
