Hamilton County Health Department Offering Booster Shots To Anyone Over 18

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Health Department announced it will begin administering COVID-19 vaccine booster shots for anyone age 18 and older.

People who received their second dose of the Pfizer or the Moderna vaccine at least six months ago are eligible for a booster. Folks who received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine are eligible for a booster if they received their vaccine at least two months ago.

Vaccine booster shots are available at the Tennessee Riverpark on Amnicola, the Sequoyah Health in Soddy Daisy and the Birchwood Health Center on Highway 60.

The Riverpark location is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The Sequoyah Health Center is offering boosters from 8 until 4 Monday through Friday.

The Birchwood Health Center site will be giving boosters Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

No appointments are necessary.

The Sequoyah and Birchwood sites will only offer the Pfizer booster, while the Riverpark site has both the Pfizer and Moderna boosters available.
