Hamilton County Man Charged With Sexual Battery of A Minor

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- One Hamilton County man was charged with sexual battery after evidence showed up after more than a year of alleged abuse.

45-year-old Raymond Hill is being charged with sexual battery after evidence was made against him for attempting to groom his step-daughter to be sexually abused.

According to the affidavit obtained by News 12 the sexual battery case which involved the 13-year-old girl actually occurred  June of last year.

The evidence to support the claim of abuse came from the victim’s cell phone which had been turned over to detectives and the contents downloaded by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Also according to the report the text messages from Hill to the victim indicated strong evidence that Hill was trying to sex with the minor and made specific references to performing sexual acts as well.

After a forensic interview of the investigation at the Child Advocacy Center it was confirmed that the incident and the text messages led to Hill.
