Hamilton County Mask Mandate Set to End this Week

The mask mandate in Hamilton County is set to expire this Wednesday. Thursday, the 29th will be the first official day that masks will not be required. The mask mandate was first put into effect July 10th of last year. Private businesses will have the option to require or not require masks.

Hamilton County Schools Superintendent announced today that they will be requiring masks until the end of the school year. Dr. Bryan Johnson, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent said in a video today, “It is our hope that as we enter the next school year that we do not have to have masks and our schools are able to be positioned in a way that we can return to normalcy. In order to return to normal, it’s gonna be incumbent upon each of us that we take the steps necessary to make sure that our students, to make sure our community is protected.”
