Hamilton County School Board takes a look at re-branding ideas

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County school officials got a look at re-branding ideas for the school system.

The Johnson Group President Joe Johnson gave a presentation of some re-branding ideas during the school board work session meeting Thursday night.

Johnson talked about renaming the system to “The Public Schools of Hamilton County.”

A new digital logo was also shown.

The logo displayed the school’s name with a picture that could be faces of students or teachers and can be rotated out.

“I think with any organization so we talk about a school district with anything you should always be looking at who you are, how you’re perceived how can you become more responsive to the community.  So you know it’s not so much that it’s the history is bad. We want to build on the history as we step into the next 20 years,” Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson said.

A new website was also presented.

The re-branding proposal will likely be further discussed in January.
