Hamilton County Schools Hosts Volunteer Opportunity Saturday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- You have an opportunity to help out your local schools.

Hamilton County Schools are holding their fourth straight Better Together Volunteer Day tomorrow.

29 schools across the county will host volunteers to help with various projects depending on the location ranging from painting to planting floors.

So far over 500 volunteers have signed up, but there is room for up to 600 volunteers to participate.

Kate Skonberg, the Director of Family and Community Engagment for Hamilton County Schools, said, “We love when all of our community rallies behind our schools. It shows them they care about them and their students, and it’s going to make this the best school year yet for our students to show up and have these beautiful entrances to their school and be ready for their new year of learning.”

You can sign up to volunteer on the Hamilton County Schools website.

It will list the schools and which ones still have spots available.
