Hamilton County sets new single day Covid case record
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Health Department on Wednesday posted a new high for Covid-19 cases.
They recorded 948 new cases today, which easily beat the previous high of 655 on January 8, 2021.
The number of hospitalizations are also rising, but not nearly as much.
Health Department officials hope you will keep the surge in new cases n mind as you celebrate New Year’s.
They repeat CDC recommendations of limiting indoor gatherings, avoiding crowds, and wearing a well-fitting mask over your nose and mouth if you are in public, indoor settings.
