Hamilton County Sheriffs bring home the bacon

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded early Sunday morning to a call of an animal in the roadway near Hixson Pike.

While patrolling the area, deputies were flagged down and told there was a “pig” roaming the roadway and was in danger of getting hit by passing cars.

Deputies quickly responded to help secure the pig, but this proved to be more difficult than imagined.

Several officers tried repeatedly to secure the pig in the back of the squad car, but were unable to subdue the animal.

The animal was eventually apprehended and loaded into the back of a patrol car.

The pig’s owners were found and the was returned unharmed.

This Easter Morning, HCSO Deputies were busy trying to catch an animal roaming the roadway… and no folks, it wasn’t the Easter Bunny!
