Harry Connick, Jr. signs on to Chattanooga Unite: A Tribute on the River

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) –  Award winning entertainer Harry Connick, Jr. just signed on to the benefit ceremony and concert for the victims of the July 16th tragedy.
        The star of stage and screen will perform with his band, and will be joined by a Tennessee string orchestra and choir at Chattanooga Unite: A Tribute on the River.
        It occurs Wednesday September 16th.
        The free concert is one part of the day-long celebration begins with the Armed Forces Parade at 2PM.
        The parade will travel down Broad Street to Aquarium Way to Chestnut Street ending at Ross’s Landing.
        Chattanooga native Samuel L. Jackson will emcee the tribute, which will include a memorial ceremony.
        Harry Connick, Jr. is expected to perform around 4:45PM.
        The day of festivities concludes with a performance Brantley Gilbert and a fireworks celebration.
        In lieu of ticket fees, donations to the National Compassion Fund are encouraged.
        Collection bins placed throughout the event.
