Helping students further their education through tnAchieve
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Tennessee Achieves and Chattanooga State Community College got together in the CSCC Health Science Center to celebrate the over 10,000 students who have enrolled for college classes at the community college.
Tennessee Achieves, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for every Tennessee student to obtain a post-secondary credential works alongside CSCC and the Tennessee Promise.
The Tennessee Promise is a scholarship and mentoring program for high school graduates in Tennessee that helps students pay for tuition and fees at community or technical colleges.
With the assistance of the Tennessee Promise, students can receive up to two years of free tuition and coverage of mandatory fees at a Tennessee community college or college of applied technology.
Students may use the scholarship at any of the state’s 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology, or other eligible institutions offering an associate degree program.
With the help of the tnAchieves, the CSCC, and the Tennessee Promise, high school students are able to continue their schooling to work towards accomplishing their dreams.
