Highway 58 firefighters assist in duplex HVAC fire

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department assisted in an HVAC fire this afternoon.

Crews were dispatched to 6079 Harrison Ooltewah Road after reports of a HVAC unit on fire on the side of a duplex.

Upon arrival, crews found flames crawling up the exterior wall of the duplex from the HVAC unit.

All occupants were able to exit the structure with no injuries.

According to Amy Maxwell with the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management, crews were able to extinguish the fire within 5 minutes.
