Highway Patrol Trooper Shoots Man After Crash
Authorities say a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper has shot a man.
The TBI says initial reports indicate the trooper had pulled a car over for a traffic stop Tuesday night in Robertson County.
The trooper noticed another vehicle driving fast.
That vehicle ran a stop sign, took a sharp turn, and crashed into a tractor trailer.
The trooper approached the crash and shot the driver after he exited the vehicle.
TBI Special Agents are investigating the shooting.
The TBI says that the trooper was not injured after shooting the man.
The unidentified man was transported to a Nashville hospital but his condition is not known.
