Hip-Hop Week Continues With Free Music Lessons

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Hip-Hop Week is on beat at the Chattanooga Public Library.

The Enterprise Center’s Tech Goes Home program is partnering with the Hip-Hop Week to hold free classes on the music business at the library.  Hip Hop Week Logo

Students are taught by DJ Chuck T, who has had success in the music industry by releasing numerous mixtapes that included artists such as Flo Rida and Trey Songz.

He aims to teach students about how to succeed in the industry that he says will always have high demand.

DJ Chuck T said, “Filmography, photography, be a DJ, be an artist, be a manager, a consultant, a promoter, a manager. There are a million different paths to take. I’m telling you from experience, you don’t have to do necessarily one thing, you can do multiple jobs.”

More free sessions with DJ Chuck T will be held tomorrow and Friday from noon to 6 p-m.

Those who attend will be able to take home a free laptop.

This is a prelude to the Hip-Hop Summit, which kicks off Friday afternoon.
