Hixson mobile home fire turned deadly
CHATTANOOGA Tenn. (WDEF)- A Hixson fire has claimed the life of one mobile home resident late Saturday night.
Chattanooga firefighters responded to the incident at 10:59 p.m. after neighbors called 9-1-1.
The trailer in Smitty’s Park, just off Dayton Blvd., was found with “heavy smoke and flames coming through the windows.”
The firefighters quickly brought the flames to a halt.
One deceased victim was located inside of the mobile home.
Officials are not identifying the victim yet, but are working to notify the man’s next of kin.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
