Homeland Security Training Exercise to be held on Tennessee River
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Homeland Security Training Exercise will begin Wednesday, June 22.
Beginning very early in the morning, the Training Exercise will be held on the Tennessee River near Ross’ Landing.
During this time, several agencies will be participating including numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and several local fire and EMS agencies.
The HCSO, in addition to the other agencies participating, want to stress to that this is a “training exercise.”
However, authorities will be treating this exercise as an authentic event.
No roads or specific portions of the Tennessee River will be closed.
The main Riverpark Boat Ramp at 4301 Amnicola Highway will be closed for the exercise beginning the night of Tuesday, June 21 through the night of Wednesday, June 22.
