House and pets lost in Soddy Daisy structure fire

SODDY DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) – This morning, around 12:40, a family in Soddy lost not only their home but also their pets in a house fire.

Soddy Daisy Fire Department responded to 115 Nale Road on a reported structure fire.

When arriving, fire officials confirm to dispatch a working house fire.

Once firefighters confirmed all family members were out of the house, they established water supply and started extinguishing the fire

Unfortunately, two cats died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but damages are extensive

As of right now, there are no other details available.

Soddy Daisy FD requested a mutual aid from Dallas Bay VFD for additional manpower to the fire scene.

HCEMS stood by on the fire scene for any potential injuries to the first responders.
