Human Educational Society says they’re “at capacity”
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — If you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family, now is a good time to consider adopting.
The Human Educational Society says they’re at capacity when it comes to dogs, with over 150 canines currently at the shelter.
Jeanine Cloyd, Director of Development at HES told us, “We constantly are getting new dogs in and so we need to adopt these babies so that we can make room for the other dogs in the community that need our help.” She went on to say, “You might want to check out our website. You can see all the dogs that are available for adoption, and you can fill out an application right there. That’s probably the best way to go about starting, but you can also just come down and see what we’ve got as well. When you do your application, you can let us know if there’s specific dog that you’ve checked out on our website that you want to meet or maybe you just want to tell us about yourself and what kind of dog you’re looking for. Then our staff can help you figure out who should we bring out for you to meet.”
The Humane Educational Society is open Tuesday through Saturday from Noon to 5:00PM. You can see a listing of all their available dogs at HESChatt.ORG.
All animals are fully vaccinated and microchipped.
