Human remains found in DeKalb County, Alabama
DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WDEF) — The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office found human remains on Thursday near Valley Head.
A Huntsville Search Dog Unit found the human remains in a thickly wooded area.
The JSU Center for Applied Forensics responded and transported the remains to the Huntsville Forensic Lab. There, they will attempt to identify the remains.
DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident, “At this time, information is limited, and guidelines must be followed to assure accurate conclusions. Once other information is provided to our office, we will release further information.”
