Hundreds gather to pay respects to Petty Officer Smith

Hundreds and hundreds of people lined Battle Field Parkway today, but it was silent….. countless flags waving in the breeze but silence ….Every one’s thoughts and prayers were all focused squarely on lifting up a family on a very tough day……

James Feldmeier Troop 64 Scoutmaster said, "Duty to God and country, me being a scout master and a veteran myself I definitely make sure the boys know about that honor."

 "Just paying respects to the country i just shipped my oldest daughter to the navy on the 20th so just trying to support the country in the most way we can," said Darice Gentry.
 
 
Amber Burnham said, "I think this shows them that you know everybody else’s lives aren’t just continuing while they are suffering we all recognize that something happened and we are stopping our days to show our support for them."
