Law Firm Divorces Wrong Couple

Imagine finding out you were accidentally divorced! “Diva of Divorce” Ayesha Vardag calls herself one of the top divorce lawyers in London, but her firm appears to have pulled the plug on a marriage before both parties were ready.

Court documents refer to the couple as Mr. and Mrs. Williams. The couple had been married for more than 20 years when Vardag’s office staff clicked on the wrong file name in an online portal and declared them officially divorced.

While the mistake was uncovered two days later, a local judge did not reverse the order.

Vardag stood up for the staffer who made the error and said the online portal needs an overhaul. (newser)
