Will Reclining Airplane Seats Be A Thing Of The Past?
Some flight experts predict that reclining seats in economy class will soon be a thing of the past.
Reclining seats are heavier due to the mechanisms involved, and reclining has resulted in spats, spilled drinks, and broken laptops.
“The airlines have pitted passenger against passenger in the ‘right to recline’ wars, and it’s led to discomfort, fist fights, arrests and overall misery,” William McGee of the American Economic Liberties Project said.
In this sense, non-reclining seats could be a blessing in disguise. (NY Post)
