Incline Railway to Close for Maintenance

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Incline Railway will be closed for a few weeks as routine maintenance is conducted. The repairs will begin tomorrow, May 18, and will be finished within the next couple of weeks. An exact date of when the railway will reopen was not given.

The CEO of the Chattanooga Area Regional Transport Authority (CARTA), Lisa Maragnano, stated that, “We are always grateful to the millions of passengers that have visited us over the years and want to make sure that our future guests are safewhile riding America’s Most Amazing Mile.We routinely make repairs to the attraction to ensure a great guest experience.”
