Jackson County to test outdoor warning siren on May 5

JACKSON COUNTY — Jackson County EMA will conduct the monthly outdoor warning siren test on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
They say they are moving up the testing date from May 6th due to the potential for severe weather.
They remind individuals outdoor warning sirens are designed to alert people outdoors and it is still important to have many ways to receive warnings, such as:
– NOAA Weather Radio
– Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA)
– Trusted weather apps
