Jake Locker Back at Titans Practice But Limited With Thumb Injury

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Titans quarterback Jake Locker returned to practice Wednesday, though he was limited. Now Tennessee needs to see how his injured right thumb responds to taking snaps and throwing the ball.
Locker says he was able to do everything coaches and trainers wanted him to, from throwing during individual drills to working in team drills. He spent last week trying to get the swelling down after hurting his thumb Oct. 5 in a loss to Cleveland, and now Locker is working to get the strength fully back.
The Titans (2-4) visit Washington (1-5) on Sunday. Coach Ken Whisenhunt says whether Locker starts after missing two of the past three games to injuries depends on how the quarterback responds.
