CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Federal Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga hosted the first ever Nosh-a-Nooga.

Nosh-a-Nooga is a Jewish food festival where patrons can purchase a ticket and try many different kinds of jewish foods.

Each food table provided a brief summary on the history of the foods.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga wanted to invite everyone in to share more about their culture while also eating good food.

“Just be interested in jewish tradition and culture. You know we’re members of the community like everybody else and we just want to be able to share with everybody and invite the community into our doors and this was one way to do it through a cultural food festival,” said Executive Director of The Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga Michael Dzik.

If you missed today’s event, don’t fret, the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga, plans to make this an annual festival for years to come.
