Jury quits for the day with no verdict on Janet Hinds

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – After deliberating for more than 24 hours, a jury still has not reached a verdict on Janet Hinds.

They got the case Thursday evening.

The jury deliberated throughout Friday and finally decided to go home around 9:30 PM.

They will return Saturday morning to continue.

Despite the seeming impasse, jurors reported to the judge that they have been making good progress Friday evening.

Though they said they were having trouble reviewing video.

Hinds faces ten charges connected to the hit and run of Chattanooga Police officer Nicholas Galinger in 2019.
