Juvenile Shot While Walking Tuesday Night

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A juvenile is recovering from a shooting Tuesday night on Hickory Street in Chattanooga.

He arrived at the hospital around 8:30 with a non-life threatening wound.

The victim told police he was walking near Scholar Avenue and Hickory when a maroon Nissan approached him around 6PM.

Someone in the car opened fire on his, and the victim ran.

He identified his shooter as 19 year old Charles Melton.

The shooting victim himself will also be arrested on outstanding warrants when he is released from the hospital.
