K9 Joker goes home to recover from shooting
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Joker, the Bradley County K9 officer critically wounded in an incident last week is going home.
After being shot multiple times, Joker successfully underwent an MRI and CT scan.
Doctors determined the best option was to send him home with a feeding tube.
Joker will be healing from several surgeries for 5 to 12 weeks.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office says Joker may eventually need jaw reconstructive surgery.
While healing, Joker will stay with his handler, Deputy Eduardo Choate and his family.
