Kori Atkins Honored as Chattanooga’s 2025 Youth of the Year
CHATTANOOGA, Ten
n. (WDEF) – A local teen is receiving recognition for leadership, academics, and community service.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattanooga named Brainerd High School student Kori Atkins as its 2025 Youth of the Year during a ceremony held at The Westin Chattanooga. Along with the title, Atkins received a $5,000 scholarship to support her future goals.
Speaking about her journey, Atkins reflected on how the club helped her grow:
“On this grind for like a full circle moment, I remember coming into the club I was really shy, but the club definitely made me who I am today. I owe a lot to them. Being able to go to the state and represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattanooga is a great experience.”
Atkins will now represent Chattanooga at the state Youth of the Year competition, showcasing her achievements and the impact of local youth programs.
