La Paz Chattanooga meets with local leaders

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — La Paz Chattanooga is enjoying the successful fundraiser called Sangria on the Bluff, and sharing the latest on the city’s Latino population.

La Paz is the city’s top organization dealing with issues related to Latinos, including health and safety, education and employment.

The group met with local leaders today at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center.

They distributed handbooks in English and Spanish with legal advice for dealing with financial and family law.

“And we really brought together different entities such as the Chattanooga Police, the Hamilton County Department of Education, and again really to make sure that everyone feels safe here in Chattanooga and I think we’ve really done a good job with our partners to help people feel safe,” said Stacey Johnson, Executive Director of La Paz Chattanooga.

The next La Paz networking luncheon is set for July 10th.
