Lafayette house fire displaces residents

LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) — A house fire Tuesday morning displaced its residents in Lafayette, Georgia, according to the fire department.

The house was in the Skyline Heights community.

The Lafayette Fire Department said they could see heavy smoke and flames when they arrived on scene.

Firefighters also said they had the fire under control in seven minutes.

No one was injured or at home at the time of the fire, the fire department said.

The American Red Cross is now helping those who became displaced from the fire.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the fire as well.
