Lafayette house fire ruled arson

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – Georgia’s Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner says an early morning fire in Walker County was intentionally set.

It happened at 4:20 AM at 1211 Dunwoody Road in Lafayette.

Ralph Hudgens says the fire started in the den area of the home.

The residence was unoccupied at the time.

Commissioner Hudgens is asking anyone with information about this fire to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.

Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.
