Lane Funeral Home and Army Cadets place American flags on lawn in honor of 9/11

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – Lane Funeral home is doing its part to make sure we never forget what happened on September 11th, 2001. 

On Friday,  Lane funeral home and Army Cadets are placing 2,977 to represent the lives lost on 9/11. 

This year’s anniversary of 9/11 will be the 20th anniversary of the horrific attack on our country. 

The funeral home says they feel it’s important to continue to educate our younger generation about that day. 

“Those families still remember. That was an attack on America. I feel as an American citizen that we should stop and reflect and remember those that lost their lives to terrorists,” says Barry Miller, Managing Partner at Lane Funeral Home.

The funeral home is also hosting an all-day memorial event starting Saturday at 10 am at the Ashland Terrace Location.



Fellowship begins at the parking lot at 8:00 am, at 10:03 am the National Anthem outdoors. At 11:00 am memorial services begin with guest speakers in the Coulter Chapel. They will be live streaming this service. Free food will be served outdoors from noon till 3:00 pm.
