Last of 3 robbery suspects caught in Georgia

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The final suspect in a spree of robberies in the Chattanooga area has been captured.

Chattanooga Police report that Alando Ray Johnson has been taken into custody in Georgia.

Investigators attribute five robberies and two auto thefts to the trio, which include a bank robbery.

On the Sunday night, the 9th, police responded to three holdups that seemed to be related (Mountain Crrek, Hixson Pike, Lee Hwy).

In each, a suspect held up victims at gunpoint and demanded money.

An officer later spotted the suspect vehicle in a Walmart Parking lot and Christopher Ray Johnson and Lashanda Denise Cummings were taken into custody.

The investigation linked them to a pair of other robberies on July 6th, including the EPB Credit Union on McCallie Ave.

But Alando Ray Johnson was still on the loose.

Police say he is a validated gang member and was considered armed and dangerous.
