Lee Flames Split Conference Games With Valdosta State
Cleveland, TN-(WDEF) The Lee University women knocked off Valdosta State 66-45 on Tuesday night at Paul Walker Arena,
while the Lee men lost in overtime to the Blazers by a final of 93-82.
In the women’s contest, the Lady Flames went up 20 at halftime.
Lee took advantage of a poor shooting night from the Blazers, who hit only 16 percent of their shots in the first two quarters.
Abby Bertram paced the Lady Flames with a game high 21 points, including 5 of 9 shooting behind the arc.
Teammate Lindsey Roddy added 18 points.
Tuesday’s contest was the first of four games in seven days for the Lady Flames.
They improve to 10-3 overall and 3-2 in the Gulf South Conference.
The men’s game was a tight contest throughout.
Lee was up just three points at halftime, but in overtime, the Flames made only one field goal in losing by 11 points.
Colton Blevins led the Flames with 19 points.
Lee is now 8-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
