Lee University negotiating with Vice President protesters
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Protests will also attend the event with Vice President Mike Pence in Cleveland on Saturday.
Lee University officials say they are talking with groups planning to protest.
The school has a designated area for them to demonstrate.
The V-P of University Relations says being able to voice your opposing views is apart of democracy.
“This is a part of the modern political landscape it’s protesters it doesn’t matter who it is or what level they operate it they’re going to be protesters and of course this event is going to be that same way. We are in communication with a lot of folks planning to do that and I have to say I am very pleased with the civility with which the protesters are communicating. ”
We will have team coverage of the event tomorrow and live updates will be posted to all social media platforms throughout the day.
