Lions Club of Signal Mountain hosts annual Fourth of July celebration

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Signal Mountain Lions Club hosted its annual Fourth of July barbecue celebration.

It was held at the Althaus Park.

The Barbecue celebration was a tradition that started in 1961.

This was a family friendly event in Signal Mountain.

“Well it’s a Patriotic day for Americans and it should be an atmosphere where people can come in and everyone can gather,” said Mitchell Johnson, Chairperson of Signal Mountain Lions Club. “It’s a day of unity as people run into friends and enjoy that part of it. Just having that feeling of community today as a part of being an American.”

The Lions Club hosts this event to get the community out and celebrate freedom.
