Little Sprouts awarded the Bright Spot Award
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Health Department recognized several community partners at its monthly meeting today for making a positive impact on public health.
Among the honorees was Little Sprouts, a program known for supporting early childhood development and family wellness.
The department says Little Sprouts stood out for its commitment to strengthening community health through education and hands-on support.
They were honored with the Bright Spot Award.
Christopher Marinello, M.S., Public Health Representative with the Hamilton County Health Department, explained why they are so proud of their work.
“This was developed entirely in-house. This was us. This was the Hamilton County Health Department, reacting to a Hamilton County need.
But across the state, I have heard much of the same thing. How do we get this in our community.”
The Bright Spot Award is given to organizations across Tennessee that show measurable success in improving health outcomes.
Leaders say they hope this recognition encourages more programs like Little Sprouts to grow across the state, helping even more families thrive.
