Loaded weapon found in carry-on at Chattanooga Airport

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Transportation Security Administration officials discovered a loaded firearm at the Chattanooga airport Monday.
Around 6 a.m., agents discovered the loaded .380 caliber Kel-Tec pistol in a passenger’s carry-on bag.
Airport police took possession of the bag and escorted the passenger out of the checkpoint area.
Officials remind us that while firearms may be transported in checked baggage, if they are declared to the airline, they are prohibited in carry-on bags.
