Local business owner reflects on New Year’s resolutions

Lisa Dunny of Chattanooga Coffee Company believes a healthy resolution leads to personal growth

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) — Many in the community are beginning their latest annual New Year’s resolutions for 2023.

Lisa Dunny, the owner of Chattanooga Coffee Company, says she wants to face one of her biggest fears head-on this year and has waited a long time to do so.

She believes accomplishing one’s resolutions can lead to personal growth.

“It has been 10 years since I’ve been on an airplane and I am going to do it this year,” Dunny said. “It is my goal. I feel like society just kind of expects us to make goals for [ourselves] and I think we do just to kind of hold ourselves accountable for something.”

Dunny says she is determined to take to the skies … but if she doesn’t this year, she’ll just try again next year.

She also wants to try being more assertive in 2023.

For all in the community who’ve made a resolution for the new year, best of luck!
