Local high school football teams participating in BlueCross Bowl
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Several local high schools have made it to the Tennessee state football championship, the BlueCross Bowl.
The BlueCross Bowl will take place in Chattanooga at Finley Stadium. The championship will happen from November 30 until December 2.
Local schools participating in the BlueCross Bowl are:
- Baylor
- Boyd Buchanan
- McCallie
- South Pittsburg
A total of 18 teams will be participating in nine state championship games.
Organizers believe these games will bring in 22,000 athletes and fans and a $3 million impact to the community.

Tickets are $12 each during the pre-sale, which grants admission to all three games on the ticket date. After the pre-sale ends, tickets will be $15 online and $20 at the gate.
Chattanooga Sports has partnered with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) to host the championship.
