Local man found with gunshot wound on E. 3rd St.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – At approximately 3:03 p.m. today, Chattanooga Police Officers were called to E. 3rd St. for a shooting victim.

When they arrived officers found 20-year-old Javoris Akins, suffering from gunshot wounds. According to police, the shooting happened on Wilcox Blvd., and Akins then drove to E. 3rd St. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to a local hospital.

There is no suspect information at this time. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call: 423-698-2525.
