Local Reaction: Is it safe to travel to Paris?
"I’ve never actually been to Paris," said Rodney Montgomery, a Detroit native who was flying back from Chattanooga, "I would like to go but I don’t think I’d want to be over there at this particular time."
All of the connection flights from Chattanooga, headed to Paris, are still scheduled to leave on time as planned, but a few locals say they don’t see themselves booking a ticket any time soon. "I’m not excited to do that kind of a trip at all," said Cleveland resident, Lee Lannom, "We have to really weigh those risks about where we go, when we go, and who we use to travel with."
More than 120 people were killed during the Paris attacks. French President Francois Hollande has now blamed the Islamic extremist group ISIS for the wave of violence.
