Lodge Cast Iron Celebrates 128 Years of Timeless Tradition in Cookware
In a world where trends may come and go, Lodge Cast Iron stands the test of time. Today, they celebrated 128 years in business.
Founded in 1896, Lodge has been a pioneer in the cast iron cookware industry, earning a reputation for durable and reliable products that have become favorites in kitchens across the globe.
Today, state officials gathered to honor Lodge for its unwavering commitment to quality. This acknowledgment not only highlights the company’s significant impact on the culinary world but also celebrates a great accomplishment for South Pittsburg.
“One of the things that has really helped our business grow is investing back into the company. However, the backbone of our success is the people. Reinvesting in our employees is key to our success. Additionally, our commitment to South Pittsburg is strong; we feel compelled to give back to this community that has supported us and shaped who we are over the last 128 years,” said Lee Riddle, Vice President of Sales at Lodge Iron.
CEO Mike Otterman reflects on the tradition and passion for excellence that Lodge has demonstrated over the years.
“We continue to invest in products that consumers love. They make your food taste better, and the products will last a lifetime. We hear many stories of people who hand down their skillets from generation to generation. There’s a constant argument about whether to use soap or not, but either way, you get great cornbread out of it!”
