Hamilton County School Board members sound off on the recent issues with TN Ready testing.
At last night’s meeting, District 6 member Joe Galloway announced his plans for a resolution asking the state to waive TN Ready test scores from teacher and principal evaluations.
School board members will vote on the resolution next week.

The House sponsor of a proposal to create a school voucher program in Tennessee says he doesn’t have the votes to pass the measure aimed at covering private school tuition for children attending some the state’s worst public schools.
Republican state Rep. Bill Dunn of Knoxville called off a scheduled floor vote on Thursday morning before taking up a series of proposed amendments.
Opponents had raised concerns of siphoning funding from public school systems to pay for the vouchers worth about $7,000 per student.

Also, River City Company is hosting a Valentine’s Day pop-up market today in Miller Plaza in downtown Chattanooga.
From 11:00am to 2:00pm, patrons can purchase a variety of Artisan and staple Valentine’s Day gifts.
Some of those include chocolate covered strawberries, flower bouquets and Valentine’s cards, and small gifts and gift certificates from a local spa.
